SB 402 by Sen. Brandes / SJR 400 by Sen. Brandes. This bill specifies a period
during which a property appraiser is prohibited from considering an increase in
the just value of real property used for residential purposes which is attributable
to the installation of a renewable energy source device; exempting a renewable
energy source device, or a component of such device, which is installed upon
real property on or after a specified date from the tangible personal property tax,
etc. The effective date would be January 1, 2017, if Senate Joint Resolution
400, or a similar joint resolution having substantially the same specific intent
and purpose, is approved by the electors at the general election to be held
in November 2016 or at an earlier special election specifically authorized by

Solar Energy - HB 509 by Rep Cortes. Reviving, readopting, and amending
the Solar Energy System Incentives Program; authorizes rebates for portion
of purchase price of solar energy systems during specified period; requires
applications for rebates to include proofs of purchase; requires DACS to give
priority to residents who have installed solar energy systems upon homesteads
valued below certain threshold amount. Effective date would be 7/1/2015.

Florida Building Code - HB 525 by Rep. Jacobs / SB 592 by Sen. Sobel.
Providing that amendments or modifications related to local government water
conservation practices or design criteria which are adopted to an edition of
the Florida Building Code do not expire and shall be carried forward into the
next edition of the code, subject to review or modification, etc. The effective
