Thank you to all who attended the Chapter meeting on September 17. This
was the first meeting after our summer break. Everyone was updated on the
issues from the Chapter Executive Directors Meeting which was held inAugust
and from the FSPA Board Meeting in September.
Thank you to our Chapter Board who diligently handled the Chapter’s affairs
throughout the summer.
The Chapter meeting on October 9 will feature a workplace safety CE
class. The instructor, David Blossom, Amerisure Insurance, will discuss issues
affecting how different workplace environments can be handled in our own
companies and how to better train our employees. The class will start at 12:15
p.m. and is a one hour class which meets the mandatory workplace safety
requirement. Please be sure to join us and bring anyone who trains employees
or you feel may benefit from this education.
Cindy Staubley with the Palm Bay Aquatic Center presented the Chapter
with a binder outlining the success of the swim lessons to 73 children this
summer. Photos and drawings by the children were included in the binder.
The funds from the Chapter, Swimming Pool Education and Safety Foundation
and the Step Into Swim Campaign of the National Swimming Pool Foundation
provided fully paid lessons to the children. The Chapter has been supporting
this joint venture for several years and it has made a big difference in so many
children’s lives. The parents of the children expressed their gratitude. They
now know their children are prepared for a life of being confident around water
