May 2022

36 Florida Pool Prosm • May 2022 FSPA CHAPTER NEWS Thank you to the following members for helping out on this project: Cole Hairston, Brad Corriera, John Garner, Candi Moorman, Bill Hodgkins, Greg Bowers, and Ryan Luken. More news to follow on the tournament next month! By the time you read this, you should have signed up for the CE credit class on May 4 with Fluidra on digital control installation and connectivity. The class will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Maggiano’s at the Town Center. Our other upcoming events thus far include a deep sea fishing private charter in June, a CE class in August, a skeet shoot on September 9, Oktoberfest at Speck Pumps on October 20, and the annual Table Top at Maggiano’s November 16. We would like your feedback on which CE class you would like us to host in August. Please let us know! We are happy to report that the Chapter donated $2,500 to Swimming Safari Swim School here in Jacksonville to help combat childhood drownings. This donation funded 132 lessons for under privileged children locally! One of those students was enrolled in the special abilities program! Additionally, several children went from not knowing how to swim at all to moving on to a swim team prep course! Great work being done with a great partner! The upcoming state Board Meeting will be held June 10-11 at the Westin Waterside in Tampa. As always, this is your Chapter – make the most of it by attending meetings and participating in the events. Speak up if there are things you want to see us doing; let us know! We are always looking for new ideas and we would really like to see some new people interested in serving on the Board of Directors.
