January 2022 • Florida Pool Prosm 7 EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR I believe he will share with you in his article this month. Speaking of fresh starts and change, we have a new team member at the state office who I am very excited for you all to meet and work with. Her name is Leslie Root and she is our new Workforce Education Program Manager! Leslie started on November 29 and is getting settled in and acclimated. She holds a Masters in Adult Education and is a semi-recent Florida transplant. She most recently worked at Florida Gulf Coast University, as their Graduate Programs Coordinator and prior to that was the Veteran Services Coordinator at Cornell University. I hope you will join me in extending a warm welcome to Leslie and help her get acclimated to our organization and our industry! She will also be attending our January board meeting in Gainesville, so if you would like to meet her in person, we hope to see you there! Thank you to all of you who participated in our “Fall Into the Right Crowd” autumn membership drive. We were successful in gaining some newmembers to close our fiscal year, and we are very excited to have them! We can do big things when we all work together, so every phone call and conversation you had that contributed to our goals was very much appreciated by our state office team. Don’t forget to check out the events calendar on our website to learn more about what is going on with FSPA in your backyard and on the state level. We’d love to see you around and I hope to meet more of you in January at our Board Meeting!
