HB 393 by Rep. Yvonne Hays Hinson. The bill will require county health departments to post and maintain warning signs at public bathing places that have been verified impaired for fecal coliform, Escherichia coli, or enterococci bacteria by the Florida Department of Health until they meet state water quality standards. Condominium Fraud Investigation / Complaints SB 274 by Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez HB 811 by Rep. Tom Fabricio Condominium Fraud Investigation Pilot Program; Creating the Condominium Fraud Investigation Pilot Program within the Department of Legal Affairs in the Office of the Attorney General; authorizing the department to contract with a private entity to achieve the purpose of the program; requiring that the pilot program be funded from the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes Trust Fund; providing for future repeal of the program unless reviewed and saved from repeal by the Legislature. This legislation seems to be in response to the Surfside condominium collapse in the summer of 2021.
