38 Florida Pool Prosm • April 2022 FSPA CHAPTER NEWS Northeast Florida Chapter held a meeting March 15 with FSPA Lobbyist Carlos Cruz. During the meeting $6,000 was raised for PIPAC. Carlos has just returned from legislative session in Tallahassee and had all kinds of important news to share. We are also happy to report that our members “ponied up” and we raised over $6,000 for PIPAC at the meeting! Way to go Northeast Florida! The Golf Tournament is set for April 22. We will be at a new course this year – Cimaronne Golf Club, 2800 Cimaronne Blvd. We will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. There will be a continental breakfast and traditional hot dogs, hamburgers and the fixing’s for lunch! Looking forward to trying someplace new! Watch your emails for registration! Save the Dates! The skeet shoot is set for September 9 at Jacksonville Clay Shooting, where we have been before! There are a maximum of 25 carts with two people per cart. If you have your own cart, you are welcome to bring it. If we end up with more than 50 people, each cart is $100 additional. Currently, there is not a firm price as the cost of ammunition is changing weekly! As the event gets closer, we will send out the RSVPwith the pricing. Mark your calendar for October 20 for Oktoberfest at Speck Pumps and November 16 for Member Appreciation and Table Top Event at Maggiano’s. Please submit any and all suggestions to the Board for events and classes you would like to see us offer for next year. Remember this is your Chapter and your voice counts.
