The countdown
I wake up one day and the calendar says November
1 – the countdown to holidays had begun with Christmas
decorations replacing Halloween decorations overnight.
Where did the year go?
The 2015 show is less than 12 weeks from now and it
seems like we just finished the 2014 event. The upcoming
show planning begins before the current show opens and
the staff has buttoned up speakers, exhibitors and event
details usually by mid-August. By this time of the year the
staff is putting the icing on the cake, so to speak, by addressing the details of
the event which allow attendees and exhibitors to enjoy their time at the show.
So, what can you expect when you arrive in February? The Welcome and
Awards Reception is being “kicked up a notch” by adding elegance to the
evening in a new outdoor location at the Hyatt Regency. The Friday night
party has moved to Café Tu Tu Tango which will bring more of a bohemian
atmosphere including a variety of music and entertainment. The exhibit hall will
have a new, fresh appearance and more opportunities for relaxing, networking
and learning from one another.
We’ve streamlined the course offerings this year, offering an excellent variety
of courses, all of which are approved by the CILB for credit. FSPA member
company owners and employees can take as many courses as they wish for
FREE. You can train your entire staff at the show by sending office staff to
business courses and field staff to the technical courses. And, everyone gets
in the exhibit hall for free so they can learn about new products and innovations
directly from the manufacturers.
The “Orlando Show” is one that every person who works on pools in Florida
should attend. The exhibitors are there to meet Florida professionals with
Florida focused products and Florida sales reps on the floor. The education
courses are based on Florida swimming pools and the issues which you deal
with regularly.
Please plan to spend February 13-14 in Orlando with FSPA!
