The Chapter would like to welcome Pool Scouts of Sarasota as our newest Chapter member. We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events.

Our third annual Golf Tournament took place at Legacy Golf and Country Club on April 21. It’s wonderful that all 93 golfers who RSVP’d showed up. Everyone had a great time!

First place winners were Team Tom Sanger Pools – Tom Sanger, Ben Sanger, Bird Berry and Mike Stringer. Second place went to Team Epic Pools & Hardscape ConstructionPaul Herbst, Sherry Herbst, Bob D’Alessandro and Rick D’Alessandro. Third place went to Team Cox Chevrolet – Jay Cox, Mike Patitucci, Travis Washington and Finian Mayotte. Drum roll please ~ the Horses Ass trophy for last place goes to Team FWP II! Our Closest-to-the-Pin winner was Steve Luc and our Longest Drive winner was Derek Walton, BB&T Insurance Services. Congratulations; job well done!

In honor of Water Safety month, on May 15 Sonja Dickey, Chapter coordinator; Ray Kurilavicius, DART Pool Solutions; and John Ellsworth, Splash Pools, were honored to read the book Josh the Otter to the kindergarten class at GOCIO Elementary in Sarasota.

Save the date! Come meet your local legislators and hear about any upcoming government relations concerns on September 17 at the Sun N Fun at 6:00 p.m. Emails will be sent out in the near future.

The next Chapter Board meeting, which all members are encouraged to attend, will be Tuesday, June 12 at 11:45 a.m. at the FSPA state office.
