Florida Building Commission (FBC) [FBC Web site]
The Florida Building Commission was established in 1998 in response to the passing of the Florida Building Code by the Florida Legislature. The purpose of the FBC is to develop and regulate the code, which affects all members of the building industry.

Building Code Cycle

• FSPA submitted code proposals: Building Code Barrier Alarm, Residential Barrier Alarm, and some energy proposals.

• FBC nears completion of 2010 Code cycle - 12-8-10 (Includes summary of the upcoming changes)
• Pool and spa code proposals submitted by others: Existing Pool Proposals, Flood Hazard Proposals, and Panic Hardware/Fixture Proposal
