Government Relations

The Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA) is your voice at all levels of government through a government relations consultant. We work on everything that affects the pool business in legislation, codes, standards, regulation and enforcement by staying active in all areas of government.

  • Legislative: Active presence during the legislative session and monitoring of state and federal legislation affecting the pool industry.  Click here to view the Legislative Session page.
  • Regulatory: Attendance at CILB meetings, working with the Department of Health on pool / spa issues, maintaining an active presence with the Florida Building Commission and the Building Officials Association of Florida, and helping Chapters work with local building departments and licensing boards. Click here to view the Building Code page.
  • Codes and Standards: Actively participate in developing and rewriting codes and national standards for swimming pools and spas. Click here to view the Statutes and Rules.
  • Having issues locally? While we always encourage members to post issues they are having within their area in the online community, FSPA now has a new email address for you to send concerns involving coding issues, permits etc. The email address is solutions@floridapoolpro.com.

FSPA members have first access to information, additional details on issues, bills, codes etc., and can provide their opinion and weigh in on information before it is finalized.  Join FSPA to have your voice heard and to stay informed.
