Safety Forum
Water safety in Florida is vital, with large and small bodies of water easily accessible by almost every resident.  Unfortunately, accidents occur year round in Florida in ponds, the ocean and backyard pools.  The Florida Swimming Pool Association sees education about swimming pool safety as an integral part of its mission. 

This annual event's goal is to increase awareness of swimming pool safety, educate pool professionals, pool users, and media on safe ways to use and care for swimming pools.

The 2008 Swimming Pool and Water Safety Conference is scheduled for April 10-11, 2008
at the Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando. (Co-hosted by DOH Office of Injury Prevention).

Thursday, April 10: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Reception at 5:30 p.m.
Friday, April 11: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Reservations can be made by calling (800) 204-7234. The group room rate is $120 per night.
