Mark your calendar; Thursday, February 9 at the Ariani Beach Yacht Club in Auburndale. Dan Johnson, Swim, Inc., will speak on energy matters pertaining to the 2010 Florida Building Code and the 2010 Accessibility Code, which will go into effect March 15. All members are encouraged to attend, and please extend this invitation to non-members in the industry. Please help us get the word out to everyone who would benefit from this important topic. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., dinner is at 5:00 p.m. and Dan will speak at 6:00 p.m. The cost is $10 for members and $30 for non-members.
The annual SCP Open House is scheduled for Thursday, March 29 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Chapter will be hosting Kickin’ It, a kickball tournament, on Saturday, April 21. Get ready to kick that little red ball - make your teams and face your business competition on the field. More information regarding these events will be in the upcoming March newsletter.
Get ready! The 2012 Orlando Pool & Spa Show is February 24-25 at the Orange County Convention Center. It is the premier event of the southeastern United States’ swimming pool industry. This annual event attracts thousands of industry professionals from all over the United States and the Caribbean. This show will literally have “Everything Under the Sun”sm – new products, networking opportunities, education courses and opportunities to meet directly with manufacturers.
