The Chapter Board of Directors met at noon on Wednesday, January 4 at Belleair Pool Service and Supply, 1702 West Bay Drive in Largo. Thank you to David Oxley, Belleair Pool Service and Supply, for hosting the meeting and to Don Ball, The Pool Works of Pinellas County Inc., for sponsoring the luncheon. The next Board of Directors meeting will be held at noon on Tuesday, February 7 at Applebee’s at Tri City Plaza, 5110 East Bay Drive, Clearwater. It is sponsored by Hayward Pool Products, Inc. Remember that every member is encouraged to attend Board meetings. Our Board of Directors meetings are usually scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month. We are always interested in hearing your ideas for Chapter meetings and programs. Please call or e-mail the office if you will be attending this meeting so that we can plan accordingly.

Are you ready for the new pool and spa energy code regulations effective March 15, 2012? Plan to join us for a Chapter Energy Meeting with CE credit on Tuesday, April 3 at the First Lutheran Church CLC (Gym), 1644 Nursery Road, Clearwater. The class is “FBC Advanced Module: Energy Efficiency Regulations for Pools/Spas” (CILB course #0609428, one hour, meets ADV, FPSA d/b/a FSPA, CILB providership #0000917). This one hour course is new and meets ADV! The instructor will be Jeff Tawney, AquaCal AuotPilot. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Manufacturer displays and dinner, provided by Texas Cattle Company, will start at 6:00 p.m. The course begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for FSPA members for CE credit, $35 for non-members for CE credit, and $15 for those not seeking CE credit. This amount includes your meal. Please RSVP to the Chapter office by March 30 if you plan on attending.
Mark your calendars! The Florida West Coast Chapter will be holding its Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 12 at the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club in Clearwater. The tournament will begin at 8:00 a.m. It isn’t too early to start putting your teams together!
