Many thanks to Sam Stone from the Peace River Manasota Regional Water Authority, for his presentation and tour of the Water Treatment Facilities on March 19. The presentation was both interesting and informative; it explained “Where Water Comes From” in Charlotte County.
The Charlotte Harbor Chapter would like to thank Jennifer Hatfield, FSPA Government Relations Consultant, for her presentation and CE course on the building code at the April Chapter meeting. The meeting was well attended and lots of questions regarding the code updates were addressed.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the Chapter golf classic scheduled in May has been postponed until the fall. Committee meetings are scheduled over the summer months to plan this event.
It is with mixed emotions we announce the resignation of Sharon Davidson as VCI’s Operations Manager effective April 13. As you may know, it’s been a very trying time for Sharon having lost her father, then her husband and then last year her mom. She no longer has any ties locally in Florida as her only daughter, son in law and granddaughter live outside Atlanta, GA and her brother lives in north Florida. Sharon has secured a job with Hill Top Pools, one of the largest and most reputable swimming pool builders in the Atlanta regional market. Although she will be missed greatly as a staff member and part of our VCI family, we congratulate Sharon on her new job and thank her for her 7+ years of service.
