The Chapter would like to welcome Classic Pool Services as our newest Chapter member. We have a great year planned for 2019; we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events.

The FBA Leadership Summit has come and gone! It took place in Haines City on March 8-9. Thank you, Nicki Pressley, FWP; Virge Jones, Pool Corp; and Ken Moyer, Brenntag, for taking the time out of your busy schedules to teach the ropes to a group of young, up-and-coming, potential pool builders! We all know we need them!

A huge round of applause to Ken Moyer, Brenntag, and Tim Conroy, HornerXpress, for representing the Chapter during Legislative Days on March 20-21. They were all business when it came down to the important industry talking points with our local representatives.

Join us on April 9 at 6:00 p.m. for a one hour CE on Reducing the Cost of Worker’s Compensation (CILB course #0609845, meets workers’ comp, Florida Pool & Spa Association d/b/a Florida Swimming Pool Association CILB Providership #0000917) with David Griffiths, Insurance by Ken Brown, at Laishley Crab House in Punta Gorda. Watch your email for more information and to RSVP for this CE class.

Save the date! Dust off your golf clubs! May 4 Pool One Plastering will present our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at Heron Creek Golf Club. Registration is open! Email Sonja for details. Funds raised will benefit local charities involved with education and safety around water. We look forward to seeing you on the greens!
