FSPA Legislative Days was held January 16-17 in Tallahassee.  Thank you to Don Ball, The Pool Works of Florida; Alex Fletcher, Aquaworx USA; Brian Gangelhoff, A Pool’s Best Friend; Rick Howard, Rick’s Pool Service; and Ray Pearen, Fresh Finish Pools, for representing the Chapter.

The Chapter Board met Tuesday, February 6 at Queen’s Pizza in Clearwater.  Thank you to Taylor Andersen and SCP Distributors Clearwater for sponsoring the lunch. The next Board of Directors meeting will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 6 at Queen’s Pizza, 1834 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater. Our Board of Directors meetings are usually scheduled for the first Tuesday of the month.  We are always interested in hearing your ideas for Chapter meetings and programs.

Congratulations to Don Ball, The Pool Works of Florida!  At the Welcome and Awards Reception at the Everything Under the Sunsm Expo on Thursday, February 8, Don received the Chapter Director of the Year award. The Pool Works of Florida also received a Silver Design Award for Commercial Restoration and a Special Recognition for Timeline on the project. Don also received the FSPA Person of the Year Award! Thank you, Don, for your hard work and dedication to the FSPA and the Florida West Coast Chapter.  Thank you to all of the Chapter members who volunteered their time at the Show.

It is time to start putting your team together for the Florida West Coast Chapter’s Annual Golf Tournament!  This year’s tournament will be held Saturday, May 12, at the Lansbrook Golf Club in Palm Harbor.  The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.  Lunch and awards will follow play.  Contact the Chapter office regarding sponsorships or registration.
